Description[]
Eliza has prayer marks on both of her wrists and on her back, as well as other half-healed scars.[1]
Personality[]
Eliza is a regular, scared teenager.[1]
Behaviour[]
Eliza cannot interact with other people around her, leading her to feel abandoned and isolated. She goes out into the woods and calls for anyone to hear her. She shrieks when Carpenter attempts to console her, unable to see her. When Brother Wharfing helps her, she believes that people are being cruel to her and purposefully avoiding her.[1]
Background[]
Eliza is a teenage girl whose parents were killed by the workers at the Sub-Station Perigloss, before she was kidnapped by them and hallowed. Brother Wharfing believes her to have been hallowed for some god of loneliness or isolation. Her vision and hearing do not appear to have been affected by her hallowing, but she cannot see or hear other people. She believes she is haunted by ghosts. When Carpenter attempts to touch her she screams in terror, which Brother Wharfing claims she did when he tried to console her also. She does not know her parents are dead. She believes she has simply been abandoned. She lives in a shack in the woods and, although she isn't aware of it, Brother Wharfing looks after her. She was released by Helen Hayes and Roger, who didn't have the heart to purge her when instructed to by their boss Alf.[1]

Connections[]
- Brother Wharfing attempts to heal Eliza. When it proves that he is unable to do so, he turns his efforts towards looking out for her.[1]
- Carpenter kills the staff at Sub-Station Perigloss in an attempt to avenge her.[1] It becomes clear that Carpenter feels some shame over not being able to help her.[2]
- Helen Hayes experiments on Eliza. When Alf orders Helen to purge Eliza, she and Roger release her.[1]
- Eliza's parents were killed by Sub-Station Perigloss when she was kidnapped to be used as a test subject and Sainted. Due to her Sainthood, Eliza believes her parents to have abandoned her.[1]
